Handan Börüteçene
The Challenge
To translate the layered, archaeological nature of Handan Börüteçene's work into a digital format. Her practice, spanning sculpture, installation, and memory, required a platform that felt like a quiet, expansive archive rather than a traditional portfolio. The challenge was to create a space where the "memory of the earth" could speak without digital noise.
The Solution
I designed a minimalist, typographic-led interface that prioritizes the artwork above all else. The site functions as a digital excavation, allowing users to uncover works from the 1980s to the present through a clean, timeline-agnostic structure. A neutral color palette and spacious grid system mirror the physical presence of her installations, ensuring the digital experience honors the weight and materiality of her art.
